BIOspeed Analyzer
Our Point-of-Care BIOspeed Analyzer is a handy and high-precision laboratory instrument that can be used to analyze patient samples in close proximity to the patient in just a few minutes.
POC – test quickly, in advance and on the spot
The need to make diagnoses quickly, early and, if possible, at the point of action – the so-called “point of care” (POC) – became apparent early in the history of medicine. Decentralized, near-patient laboratory diagnostics originally emerged in the hospital in life-threatening emergency situations. It was developed because of the need for decision criteria for rapid derivation of action. In the meantime, the advantages are used in the outpatient sector, the emergency room, in ambulances, in doctors’ offices or pharmacies. After all, the sooner a diagnosis can be made, the sooner infectious diseases can be contained and patients can receive targeted care.
Point-of-care testing (POCT) has established itself as a helpful, additional tool for patient care without replacing conventional laboratory diagnostics. It provides reliable results and increases the quality of treatment for the patient.

Diabetes marker
The measurement of HbA1c,the so-called glycosylated hemoglobin, in the blood reflects the average blood glucose level over the last 2-3 months. HbA1c is recommended as a biological indicator for the detection and monitoring of diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes.
The result is determined within 5 minutes from whole blood.
Cardiac markers
An elevated troponin I level (cTnI) indicates myocardial damage, which occurs, for example, in acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, pulmonary infarction, heart failure, shock, and other conditions that can cause myocardial damage. These also include pancreatitis, severe damage caused by diabetic ketoacidosis or connective tissue disease.
The BIOspeed Analyzer provides a reliable result from serum, plasma or whole blood within 15 minutes.
D-dimers are a biomarker for the dissolution of blood clots called fibrinolysis. Their concentration in the blood is therefore determined for the diagnosis of thrombosis. The determination of the D-dimer also excludes pulmonary embolisms, disseminated intraversal coagulopathies (DIC) or deep vein thromboses. In addition, the D-dimer can be used to monitor the progress of thrombolytic therapy.
The BIOspeed Analyzer performs the reliable determination of the cardiac marker within five minutes based on the analysis of plasma or whole blood.
The precursor of BNP, called NT-proBNP (N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide), is an important biomarker in heart failure. The value of NT-proBNP increases with age; in women of the same age, the value is higher than in men, and in people over 60, the increase is even greater. NT-proBNP has become indispensable in the modern management of cardiovascular disease, as NT-proBNP also provides prognostic predictions in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and congestive heart failure (CHF).
The BIOspeed Analyzer performs the reliable determination of the cardiac marker NT-proBNP within 15 minutes based on the analysis of serum, plasma or whole blood.

Inflammatory markers
C-reactive protein (CRP) is not only a non-specific inflammatory marker, but is itself directly involved in cardiovascular diseases such as inflammation and atherosclerosis. Thus, hsCRP & CRP are among the strongest influencing factors for the diagnosis of for cardiovascular disease. Through the interaction of CRP with complement C1q and FcTR, it exhibits numerous biological activities, including the organism’s defense response to infection, phagocytosis, and regulation of inflammation. In conjunction with damaged cells, apoptotic cells and antinuclear antibodies, it also plays an important role in autoimmune diseases.
The reliable IF test provides a meaningful result from whole blood, serum or plasma within three minutes.
PCT is a specific indicator of severe bacterial inflammation and fungal infection, as well as a reliable indicator of sepsis and multiorgan failure related to inflammatory activity. With sufficient stimulation, immunosuppressed patients develop PCT. Procalcitonin level is not only an acute indicator for differential diagnosis, but also a parameter for monitoring inflammatory activity.
The reliable IF test provides near-patient and meaningful results from whole blood, serum or plasma within 15 minutes.

Sex hormones
β-HCG is used for the diagnosis of early pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, threatened abortion, trophoblastic disease of the placenta (including mole, erosive mole, choriocarcinoma, etc.), postpartum surveillance and abortion. The β-HCG assay is of great importance for the diagnosis of early pregnancy and has a crucial influence for the diagnosis, identification and follow-up of diseases related to pregnancy and trophoblastic tumors. β-HCG can increase to more than 2,500 mLU/mL in 35-50 days of pregnancy. In 60-70 days, it can reach 80,000 mlU/mL, and blood β-HCG is often higher in multiple pregnancies than in singleton pregnancies.
The reliable IF-based test with the BIOspeed Analyzer provides a near-patient result within 15 minutes from plasma, serum or whole blood.

Thyroid hormones
TSH is not affected by TBG concentration. When thyroid function changes, TSH changes more rapidly and significantly than T3 and T4. Therefore, TSH in blood is a meaningful parameter reflecting the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis, especially in subclinical hyperthyroidism and manifest hyperthyroidism. The diagnosis of subclinical hypothyroidism is of great importance. Currently, TSH is used as an indicator for screening thyroid function in newborns.
With the BIOspeed Analyzer, you can reliably determine the TSH concentration from serum, plasma or whole blood within 15 minutes and close to the patient.
T3 reflects the level of bound T3 (99.7% of TT3) in serum. Decreased T3 levels are an indication of hypothyroidism. Elevated T3 levels, in turn, are indicative of hyperthyroidism.
With the BIOspeed Analyzer you can reliably determine the T3 concentration from serum, plasma or whole blood within 15 minutes and close to the patient.
T4 is the main product of thyroid secretion and is also an indispensable component of the interaction of the hypothalamic-pituitary-anterior lobe-thyroid regulatory system. T4 determination can be used to diagnose hyperthyroidism, primary and secondary hyperthyroidism, and to monitor TSH suppression therapy.
With the BIOspeed Analyzer, you can reliably determine the T4 concentration from serum, plasma or whole blood within 15 minutes, close to the patient.
T3 is a hormone synthesized and secreted by the follicular cells of the thyroid gland. FT3 accounts for about 0.5% of T3. It can penetrate the cell membrane into tissue cells and exert physiological effects. Its concentration is consistent with the concentration of triiodothyronine in tissues and the metabolic state of the body. It is also of diagnostic value for non-thyroidal diseases.
With the BIOspeed Analyzer, you can reliably determine the FT3 concentration from serum, plasma or whole blood within 15 minutes, close to the patient.
The FT4 value denotes the concentration of free thyroxine in serum. Free thyroxine in serum is a sensitive indicator for in vitro tests of thyroid function. Even if the binding capacity and concentration of plasma thyroxine binding protein change under physiological or pathological conditions, it can more accurately reflect thyroid function.
With the BIOspeed Analyzer, you can reliably determine the FT4 concentration from serum, plasma or whole blood within 15 minutes, close to the patient.
